Working on your core becomes important for the human body during your training process. It is important that people do it right and know what and how strengthening your core actually does. The first reason would be help preventing injuries; an effective exercise for building core is stability to draw in the abdominal muscles, hold your breath for 5 seconds and then relax.

  1. Hold yourself in a plank position for 1 to 5 minutes – the reason for this is because you are physically holding your body in a certain static position. You need to maintain a stable trunk whilst holding this position that will engage several muscles groups in your core which is a great way of core strengthening.
  2. Side planks for 2 to 3 minutes – even though this is another plank, it’s another position for your body to take in. it’s good to try different angles as it works different ways each time. This plank target more specific muscles groups such as the either side of your body.
  3. Using a Swiss ball – this is effective as you can do many things with the ball itself. This can be more active involving sit ups. You need to make sure you are in a correct position and comfortable.

 

Another active exercise through using equipment is a kettle-bell. This helps strengthen your muscles and takes away weight. It makes you have an easier time performing daily activities, you work your muscles in the same way as when you do for daily activities. These involve stuff like, cleaning, holding shopping bags, carrying your baby, lugging heavy luggage.
